Foot & ankle injury treatment options

When you come for care, your doctor will discuss non-surgical and surgical treatment options with you. In some cases, non-operative treatments may be an option for your injured foot or ankle. Recommendations are based on you—your treatment and recovery goals and the type of ankle or foot injury. They may include:

  • Working with a physical therapist
  • Physical therapy
  • Regenerative medicine, including injections
  • Wearing an ankle brace
  • Modifying activities until your ankle or foot injury has healed, particularly activities that can cause excessive stress like high-impact workouts or full-contact sports
  • Oral medications

If you and your care team determine that surgical treatment is required to treat your ankle or foot injury, our team will work with you to develop a treatment plan based on your individual needs and lifestyle.
